Production orders not getting released through batch job

Hi SAP Gurus,

For a particular material, I am facing an issue where Production orders are not getting released through batch job using program "PPIO_ENTRY".

This is a MTO based production order for the header material and the BOM components vary for different sales order due to business need.

However I could see few production orders of same header material got released by same batch job. On analyzing I could see that production orders having component where Production storage location is defined in Material master is getting released where as the production orders having component where production storage location is not defined in the material master is not getting released.

I could see all other conditions as per batch job variant are meeting.

Request your inputs whether since production storage location not defined in Material master and thereby not capturing in order component overview could be reason for non releasing of these production orders.

Hi SAP Gurus,

The Issue got resolved.

We found Production storage location not defined in Material master for components and hence storage location missing in component overview in Production order was not allowing Production order to get released by batch job.
