Triggering Web Dynpro ABAP from R/3 Business Workplace

Hi,

I have read the blogs and threads in integrating workflow (UWL) with Web Dynpro ABAP and have built a successful prototype, but I was wondering if the same can be done from R/3 business workplace (inbox)?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Duke

Apart from calling a FM , one more way of calling a webdynpro, or BSP application from R/3 inbox is to define a WEBSERVICE and create respective task and include in your workflow template, once the workitem reaches the approver and when he tries to execute the workitem from R/3 inbox, in a new browser you application will be displayed.

TO define a webservice and respective task make use of the txn WF_EXTSRV

Why not the Method that you are using in UWL can also be used in SBWP. Ideally you will call a method that call your FM which will call webdynpro Abap.

    Thanks
