Problem with Add-on Installtion.

Dear Friends,

My client is facing a peculiar problem. In one of the user's profile, the system says the add-on is installed but in actual, the addon is not installed in the system. There is no Addon LocalRegistration file also.As a resutl, the user is not able to use that addon.

How to solve the problem?

Hi,

There is only on solution for the same.

Go to C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One

There is one file named "AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo"

Open this file in notepad and keep only these word "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>" except this delete all the content

and save the file

restart the system and register the add-on, it will get installed.

This is local registry of add-on need to be cleared

Hi!

Check the User Prefernces in Addon Administration. Make that to Manual/Automatic

The addon preferences for that user was set to manual only. However, there is no trace of addon installtion on the machine the user is working with.

Hi,

Remove the add on from the Server and register it again. This will force a re-installation in all the Client machines. This is a bit hectic but may resolve your issue.
