SOLMAN_SETUP for Basic Configuration did not use the SOLMAN_ADMIN

Hi Everyone,

We have SolMan 7.0 EHP1 (SP18). I tried to setup the Initial Configuration through Tcode SOLMAN_SETUP using SAP* user. I got an error when creating the user SOLMAN_ADMIN. The system issues a message stating that the selected templates do not contain any authorization data. I ignore this and continue to finish the initial configuration. When I review the error, you have to implement first the SAP Note 1236420 through Tcode SNOTE. I did that and tried to update the authorization only of user SOLMAN_ADMIN and it went ok (updated without error). But, when I tried to do the Basic Configuration using the user SOLMAN_ADMIN, SAP* is always my login user instead of SOLMAN_ADMIN. How can I change this even if I logged on the SAPGUI as a SOLMAN_ADMIN user? Do I need to delete all of my Initial Configuration manually?

Please help me. Thank you!

Reagrds,

Ronald

Hi Roland,

you said that you are running SolMan SP18, but the note you mentioned is not for SP18. Please check the following:

- Is your ST-PI and ST-A/PI component up to date corresponding to the SolMan 7.0 EhP1 stack?

- If you are on SP18, you should implement the central note 1172948

- Login with the DDIC User and try to recreate a SOLMAN_ADMIN user

- Login with SOLMAN_ADMIN and reperform the Intitial Configuration

Hope this helps

Hi Michael,

I was able to solve the problem. I just clear the browser cache to remove the login user sap*. Afterthat, I rerun the solman_setup on sapgui using solman_admin and prompted me to login on the browser. I used the user solman_admin and it was a success! I can now continue the basic configuration. And now, I'm on the process of implementing the central note 1172948.

Thanks so much for your help!

Cheers,

Ronald
