comes up even.

Client is using SQL 2005 MS server 2003

I ahve done the test upgarde in an image of the live server

Hi Thannga

The answer is no.

I believe when i logon to SAP add on at the bottom of the menu it should come up " connecting Addon: XL reporter" (i get this on other dB's when connecting to SAP)

Could this be related to the environment. As other than this there was no issues with the Upgrade.

Thank you

Is this just on the server client, or on all clients. I recommend reinstalling the client, after uninstalling, elete the XL Reporter folder under SAP>SAP Business One> Add ons

Hi Julie

Thank you for your comment. The xl doesnt work on the server client I have upgraded the server client only.

So are you suggesting i uninstall and reinstall the server client

Thank you

That will be the easiest option, yes.

There is a SAP note that details a number of steps to be undertaken between the uninstall & reinstall - from memory:

Use add/remove programs to uninstall

Start>Run>%temp% then delete SM_OBS_DLL folder

delete XL Reporter folder under the SAP Business One program files folder

reinstall

Hi Julie

Thank you for your reply. Since XL reporter is integrated to SAP you XL reporter is not available under add on administrator to be removed

Thanks

Remove the entire SAP client from the server using Add / Remove programs.

Delete the XL Reporter folder under the C:Program Files SAP Business One directory

Delete the SM_OBS_DLL folder from the temp files

Reinstall the SAP Business One client from the B1SHR directory

Hi Aosara,

If your got the menu item from Tools, the connection should be no problem. You may need to check all available error logs everywhere to find anything wrong.

Thanks,

Hi Gordon

Thanks for the reply. I infact created a log file as per SAP note 913236 so that a log entry will be entered when XL is started.

However lo log entery is made. I belive this is because XL reporter is not started or connected enev though it appears under the tools

Thank you

That note may not work for 2007. Remove that log to see.
