Gurus,

I i havE not activated the defects recording in CONTROL INDICATORS& in the catalogs of MIC,What impact it has ?.Should the defects be assigned in MIC

This only allows you to enters the defects pertaining to a char.Although you can enter defects at operation or lot level eventhogh you have not selected defect recording in MIC.This does not have much impact..

But if you select this then you must enter the catalog for that char/mic.

The problem is if i dont select defect recording in MIC ,it is throwing warning during creation of Qplan

warning comes when you select the defect recording & do not enter catalog.If you do not select this indicator the it will not give any messsage
