Solution Mananger key

Hi all

I'm not able to create a valid solution manager key for the new installation that we are done ECC6 (we are a new sap partner). I can create the license via marketplace but not this key. I read that i need a solution manager installation to do it but we don't have one.

Can anybody generate the correct key? I think that this is not illegall to request, sorry if it's.

    Hi Mikezz

Yes you do need to have a Solution Manager system installed. At the very least to create the Solution Manager Installation Key, which pops up during the installation process. Other wise you will not be able to complete the installation.

And yes it is possible to have any Soluntion Manager system generate your Key (although I'm not sure of the legality), but you will need a Soltuion Manager system of your own sooner or later anyway, so it would be best to install one as soon as possible.

If you are a SAP partner then you've for sure also access to the Solution Manager installation media.

As you can read in the official installation guide you must install a Solution Manager to do installation as of ERP 6.0 (already since 2007). All component patches also require a SolMan as well as enhancement packages.

yes, it is illegal to request that info on a public forum. you need a key? contact SAP or install SolMan.

if you try this stunt again, you will be banned.
