Hi everyone,
Is there a way to edit the duration of an operation in the Gantt chart of PM orders (Graphic) or to move the operation start date?
In the menu "Edit", Display is selected and cannot be changed.
A know it is possible under the planning board but I am really looking for a way to do it on the Gantt chart.
Thanks for your answers
Olivier
That functionality isn't provided on the PM side. You may have to copy and create your own transaction(ZIW37) with this functionality to accomplish the same.

Hello Narasimhan,
Thank your for your reply. We do not want to modify the standard as the planning board has the option to move the operations. I could modify its layout to simplify the tool though.
Our Key User in PM told me that he had been able to do it once in the Gantt Chart. That is the reason why I try to stick to that solution.
Kind Regards,
Olivier
Through the maint profile you could assign and hence tweak the Network/ Graphics profile and not the Gnatt / Bar chart Profile.
The program basically calls the GRAPH_GANTT FM. If you are in ECC 6.0 all you would need to do is to set parameters "confirm" and "modif" to "X" using the implicit enhancement functionality and then you should be able to adjust time/ move operation using the gnatt chart graphic tool. I don't think you could do the same through config.

I have searched the customizing for the bar chart (gantt chart) profile that is applied to the order type but was not able to find it.
I have found the network chart under IMG-> SAP NetWeaver -> Application Server -> Frontend Services -> Network/Hiearchy which is link to the order type under IMG -> Plaint Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Maintenance and Service Orders -> Functions and Settings for Order Types -> Create Default Value Profiles for General Order Data. This does not help though as it is not the bar chart.
As I see it, Narasimhan is correct. I have set the parameters as proposed in the debugging and was able to modify the bar chart. I will have to test this modification to see if it does not touch any other things but the solution seems ok. Sad that SAP did not implement it in the standard.
Kind Regards,
Olivier
