Easy Cost Planning error

Hello Friends,

I have an scenario of ECP and have already created the planning form and costing model, but when i go the project builder and click on project definition and then click on ECP icon it throws the below error. Even though i have clicked on planning elements of all the wbs elements in the projects. But i havent done any material component in the projects. Kindly guide me

Project or project branch does not contain any planning elements

Message no. KPN082

Diagnosis

The project or project branch to be processed does not contain any planning elements.

System Response

The system cannot create the costing.

Procedure

Select the WBS elements you want to cost as planning elements.

Note that costing is not possible for plan-integrated WBS elements, even though they are planning elements.

is the integrated planning indicator ticked

if yes then remove and try

may have to create a new project

before trying my previous comment - go to planning profile and tick the planning element OPSB

now use the same WBS it should work fine

Hello Pal,

Thanks for your kind and immediate response. If i remove the integrated planning ticked then my planning will be only for the sake of statistical purpose right and from that i cannot trigger any quotation.

Could you please guide me on this

that is not correct - the purpose of integrated planning indicator is integration with controlling cost centre accounting etc- this can be unticked and it does not mean statistical

unless you select statistical - then it would be statistical and useless for quotation

You must define at least one WBS as planning elemt. Put flag in field Operative indicators/Planning Element (PRPS-PLAKZ)
