Hi All
I want to block and not delete some of our existing storage location. Just like vendor and customer or even material. Is there any tcode for this aside from OX09 (which option is to delete).
Thank you
Jesielle
Hi
Go to SPORO - Materials Management - Inventory Management - Authorization Management - Authorization check for Storage Location
here tick the check-box against the locations which you want to block
Then deactivate the authorization object M_MSEG_LGO in all the roles (take help of basis team)
This will restrict the transactions to the respective (blocked) storage locations.
Hope this will help

Hi
Block Storage Location from further posting
1. You can block the storage location of a material without affecting the rest of the location using the same material.
Create a Physical Inventory document for the storage location with transaction MI01
Select the Posting Block checkbox.
This would prevent transactions from occuring until you either post or delete the physical inventory document.
(There are no impact, unless you do a post difference for the physical inventory document.)
2. Another method is to rename the storage location name.
Go to transaction OX09
Edit -> Copy as (copy the original storage location to a new name, replacing the first character e.g. ZXXX)
Edit -> Delete (delete the original storage location)
Do the reverse if you want back the original storage location.

Hi,
I have achieved at my client with the help of Basis team through authorization object M_MSEG_LGO.
For a storage location you need to restrict will need authorization for above mentioned object.
For a particular storage location,When the indicator is set you must have authorization for the authorization object Goods movements: storage location ( M_MSEG_LGO) in order to enter a goods movement in the storage location using a particular movement type
Go to SPORO - Materials Management - Inventory Management - Authorization Management - Authorization check for Storage Location
here tick the check-box against the locations which you want to block
This will restrict the transactions to the respective (blocked) storage locations

It is not possible to block the storage location.
we can maintain deletion flag for the material only in mm06 not for storage location.
so delete the storage location at SPRO: Enterprise structue > definition > MM > Maintain storage location

Add required storage location to favourites in selection list of storage location(neglect storage location u want to block)
