Some parts not upgraded after upgrade to EHP4

I have just completed the upgrade to ECC EHP4/7.01 of an ECC 6.0 IDES system. I had some difficulties generating the stack XML file, but in the end I succeeded. Now it turns out that a lot of the components still are at level 6.00. I never saw these components in the Solution Manager either. Moreover, in SFW5, some components (like FICAX) are still showing 6.00 (activated) while system state shows 6.04

So now I try to upgrade these components using SAINT but it tells me it needs another stack XML file. However, I don't have the 'Enhancement Package installation' option anymore in my solution manager. So genereration of the XML is not possible. Anyone has a clue?

Those components are not listed as components but as "technical usages". If you only selected the default and those components were not used they are not updated.

AFAIK XML files are optional in SAINT.

That's what I thought. However, if I click continue after selecting apps, I get the following:

This Enhancement Package installation must be configured with a Stack XML

Seems you really need to generate an XML.

Why don't you have the SP installation section any more in MOPZ?

Hi,

Have a look on SAP note 799639. Which states below things:

From the technical point of view Enhancement Packages can be implemented into IDES systems.

BUT: This is only true if the customer is licensed for all AddOns that are implemented in the IDES ERP System.

Because of this "limitation" we recommend to wait for coming IDES versions/releases that already include the EhP's.

Were you able to circumvent the need for the XML stack file.

I have the same issue here, the FICAX component was not upgraded by the Enhp Installer and now I just need to upgrade the FICAX to 604.

The XML stack cannot be generated any longer to upgrade FICAX to 604. For some reason solution manager has tagged the system as a 604 system and no longer a ERP 600 system.

Hi Waihon,

We do not use these components, but they are part of IDES. I just wanted everything to be upgraded. However frustrating, I left it for what it is. I do not have a solution.
