revalidation of the material testing

Hi,

For all the materials we have do the testing for regular interval (i.e - for some it may be 6 months and others may be 1 years)

so once the period os the test certificate is over, we need to do the next time test.

1. where we can maintain this information of validation of the test certificate in sap qm

2. we need to generate the report for to do testing for the materials once it cross the revaildation time. ( say validation message has be raised for the materials once the certificate period isover)

Now, how can I configure the automatic opening of a periodic inspection lot (09) when a lot has expired?

Can you let me know how this RECURRING INSPECTION will help for this ?

i will explain in details .

In practically, we contact the test for the materials with regular frequency 06 month ( apr and for some sep ).

so when the period is over we need to do the test for the materials ( regularly 06 month once).

1. how can i map this in sap.

2. where i can maintain the test period and date on which is done

3. when the test period is over system need to pop-up to show the test is need to do ( based on frequency )

4. if the test is not done , it have the control to not clear the inspection lot for the materials.

Hi,

Follow these steps:

1) Activate inspection type 09 in the material master

2) Maintain inspection interval of 180 days in the QM view of material master

3) When UD is given for inspection lot for the first time system automaticaly updates the next inspection date.

4) You will have to run QA07 or schedule it in QA05. In this maintain the materail, plant and run using one of the option and opening period which is intial run days

Inspection lot will created with 09 type. When the UD for this lot is given system automaticaly updates the Next inspection date.

Hi,

one thing to tell you,

we have inspection plan for the materials for regular ( procurement) inspection lot. with inspt type 01.

and we are not maintain batch management.

But we have contact some test once at a 6 month period ( frequent - 06 months)

1. how to activate this test at the 6 month period. where i need to include this tests.

2. how to control regular inspection lot if this test is not happened in the regular 6 month period

3. shall i need to create inspection plan for this test for the materials

can anyone help me out ?
