Profit cener 9999 does not exist for 31.01.2010

I am getting this error when i am doing confirmation.. that Profit center XXXX/9999 does not exist for 31.01.2010.

If i check in KE52 the profit center 9999 is not found.neither in KE53..

If that profit center is not there in the system,then why is that error message says that.. Where is the prof center 9999 linkd in production ord confirmation..

Please help me out

For information: I am doing the confirmation in plant aaaa,whereas we also have a plant yyyy extended now.. Is there anyway to find whether this profit center is linked with the second plant.. If yes how can we find that out

Hi,

Please go to the transaction 0KE5 and check the controlling area settings. If dummy profit center contains 9999, then system will give this type error messages. This might be the reason. Please check.

hi,

This profit center might be coming from cost center which is defined in work center of that operation.Other reason might be work center specific cost center doesn't have profit center assignment so system is tying to post this amount to dummy profit center.Please check dummy profit center has been defined for that period?

HI,

check in Material master for that particular plant whether profit center 9999 is assigned. When ur checking in KE53 Make sure your controlling area is set. Plant wise profit center will not be there, it will be company code wise.

Are you sure that 9999 is your profit center?

If 'Profit center XXXX/9999 does not exist' is the error message, i think 'XXXX' could be your profit center.

And 9999 could be your company code...just a guess...Plz check

Check your material master . There might be wrong assignment is done.

HI,

Make sure you are checking for correct Controlling area in KE52/KE53 (extras->Set Controlling area) for '9999' profit center. Profit is derived from Material master 'Sales: General/Plant' view.
