calling a transaction iview as a link in ESS

Hi

Can anyone advice me on how to call a transaction iview as a link in ESS sub page page. I created the link in the appropriate position in the Travle and Expense page. But when i click on the link it is coming back to the same page only.

I gave the pcd location of the iview in Define Resources.

What specific entries should i maintain so that the transaction iview opens up in the ESS page. The transation iview on its own is opening but not in the ESS page.

Regards,

Sasha.

    Hi Sasha! Try by opening the iview in Preview mode (Content Admin > Portal Content);

    - if works fine, then check the resource assignation in SAP customizing (i.e. when you match the PCD Location property from iview/page to URL of PCD Page property for your iview/page, don't forget replace "pcd:" prefix to "ROLES://"; also, ensure the service is PORTALPAGE (PCD) type)

    - if doesn't work check the iview properties and for the system you are using, ensure the configuration is correct

      Hi, check the system alias that you select for the transactional iview; following SAP guides commonly is called SAP_ECC_HumanResources.

      For IAC iview the system alias commonly is called SAP_ITS_XSS.

      Also, check if your SAP GUI for HTML is running correctly; to do that check corresponding service in SICF transaction: go to path default_host/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui > right click > test service.

      Regards
