Funded Program Reassignment Via FMCN

Hi ,

We have huge number of open PRs and POs, for them I want to reassign Fund, Fund Center, Commitment item and Funded Program. As per OSS#1609379 , I am using FMCN which is preferable tool for initial data upload. It says that FMCN makes use of FMDERIVE , however if no values are found then it used default account assignments given in FMCN. I have disabled FMDERIVE and I want system to read default account assignment I pass in FMCN, I have two issues in it.

1. It does not have default account assignment field for commitment item, where will I get commitment item if I have disabled FMDERIVE and I want system to purely derive & update FM account assignment from FMCN criteria and hence update commitments in new FY.
2. For a while I entered Commitment item in GL account of materials used in PR subject to reassignment. When I executed reassignment with fund, fund center and funded program using FMCN and FMCT, it updated on Fund, fund center and commitment items NOT funded program. There was no budget available for the given combination which FMCN updated in PR, budget is available in a combination including Funded program. System did update FM account assignments in PR but funded program is coming as blank. I wonder why it is happening and why system allowed to execute FMCT when there was no budget available on FM account assignments which were updated in PR.

I need your valueable inputs on above.

Hi Atif,

FMCN is more sutiable for initial assignment and not for reassignment. For mass reassignment better use FMCG, which will be cased in the reassignment strategy that you define in IMG.

Can please help me understand what is difference between initial assignment and reassignment. The note given for funded program is already implemented in my system.

Are the documents in question already assigned to any FM object? If yes, then use FMCG; otherwise, FMCN.

But if you have to use FMCN, you can still use FMDERIVE for your commitment items derivation. If you are not happy with other rules, deactivate them temporarily and that's it.
