lsnrctl faild to start

hello experts!

I am srying to start LSNRCTL but I am gettin gfollowing error,

LSNRCTL for 32-bit windows: version 10.2.0.1.0 - production on 06-FEB-2010 19:25:12

Starting tnslsnr: please wait...

Failed to start service, error 3.

TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error

Hi,

Add or check environment variable ORACLE_SID = <DBSID>

Also check "tnsping <DBSID>"

Also check whether TNSADMIN enviroment is pointing to the right location.

try lsnrstl stat and see the status of the listener too.

version 10.2.0.1.0 

To start you need to upgrade your DB to 10.2.0.2 or 4 as this version is not supported...

Also check your your tnsnames.ora and listener.ora config
