Assignment of GL accounts done but cannot see the effect in reports when it is run in sap BYD

I have done the GL assignment but when i am running the report i could not find the GL reflecting in the reports .

Any kind of new assignments will be reflected in new postings only.

For example, the assignment of functional areas to G/L accounts will only be reflected in new postings. Already existing postings without the assignment will not be automatically updated. If this was necessary you could reverse and repost the respective source documents in the Source Documents view of the General Ledger work center.

As Harshal mentioned, please let us know what exact assignment and report you are referring to.

I know there is no way to see accounts with nopositings in the regualr Financial Statments report but ss there some other way to see all accounts including those without any postings?
Is there some data source that always includes all and perhaps i can make a joined or combined report?

just for clarification. Your issue is that you added new G/L Accounts to the financial statement, but the G/L Accounts are not displayed? Or is the issue that you changed the account determination that you expect a certain G/L account should be retrieved and this is not.

As Caroline mentioned, when you post a document to G/L the account determination reads the current settings and determines the corresponding G/L Accounts. If you change the account determination, only new documents are effected. If you want to "update" the posting to use the new determination, then you should follow the steps mentioned by Caroline. If still the wrong G/L account is derived -> pleas check your configuration.
