Issue in Flexible Planning-SOP

Hi Gurus,

Can we use Level-by-level planning in Flexible Planning?

I understood that maintaining planning hierarchy only at material or plant level(is level-by-level); with info stucts other than S076(is flexible planning) and disaggregation will not happen automatically at all levels.what else..

Is there any other differences that I should know? But, why a company would ever need such a scenario? Actually, I feel...companies will not use Standard planning at all....cause consistent planning has much better scope and it is more comfortable to use.

Please enlighten me in business point of view, how they decide which type of planning they need? What makes them think..."Yes, this is what I want"

I also feel that there is very little use of standard SOP .
