Diferences between EHP5 and EHP8 configuration

Dear Experts, have a nice day!

I am in a big dilema here because I am in client that is in EHP3 and is intended to upgrade to EHP8 for ECC.

What I want to know is what is the main diferences between EHP5 to 8 (Personal doubt) in configuration?

What are de release notes that I need to apply on the environment to support this new SAP system?

Can you answer me if the configuration is the same to EHP5 and 8 or they are completely diferent?

Hi Rodrigo,

The release notes of the EHP8 should provide some help with what is different in EHP8 vs. EHP3. With regard to the upgrade itself. The upgrade tool (Software Update Manager) will instruct if any notes need to be implemented before the upgrade continues, the phases are *CHEKC4NOTES* where the user will be instructed to implement any notes needed.

A few things of note are:

• The ASCS will be separated if not already
• The START and INSTANCE profiles will be merged
