Load Error

Hi,

I am getting an [Ora]ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified error when I try to load data into PAS from Entry&Approval.

When I test the ssc_cb_ea LINKID in PAS the connection test is successful. Has anyone ever come across this error?

Kind Regards,

Zim

    Zim-

The ORA at the beginning means this is an Oracle error. Unfortunately, the number is pretty common error number - meaning that it is used for a variety of problems.

One thing for you to check is how you set up your LinkID. You should be using an OCI connection instead of an ODBC, because PAS can link directly to the Oracle db. The trick here is that the User Name and Password in the LinkId of the OCI connection have to be the user that owns the CPM_ data tables.

This is all noted in the SSM Configuration Guide and it would be a good thing to review that when checking your LinkID.

    Regards,

    Bob

    Hi Zim,

Where exactly in the trace file are you finding this error?
