Hi,
anybody knows whether it is possible to release stock upon creation of WT with a specific WPT (so based on the WPT customizing) or based on specific destination storage type (so based on ST customizing)?
Usage of SCWM/CANCPICK is not much of a help for us. Stock which has been picked will always be packed in Pick-/Ship-HUs depending on the maturity of the given process. Cancpick transaction allows to release complete HU only in case the stock is packed into HUs. In our scenario we want to release a partial qty of a given HU. So the only option in cancpick is to repack and then release the newly created HU. However, this will cause problems in the following processes on the floor as we want to create WT to have our RF users physically move the stock back to the warehouse. In the approach with repacking in cancpick the operator will get a virtual HU to pick up which is not good (also we are not in sync between physical and system stock/HU sitation for a given time-window).
So my idea was to simply use ADPROD transaction to create the WT to move the stock (so the partial qty which should be released) from the HU back to storage. The processing of this WT at the RF works fine - the operator gets the source HU which reflects the physical situation.
The disadvantage here is that somebody needs to remember to release the stock after this WT has been confirmed. Otherwise it will be sitting in stock but still reserved for the given ODO.
So any idea to automate this release step? Or any other idea to cover this process?
Thanks in advance!
Hendrik
Hello Hendrik,
maybe the document 'Using an Exception Code to Exclude Products from Packing' helps? You can find it on the Service Marketplace in Section 03_How-to Guides.
A process where there is an automatic posting change for stock assigned to an outbound delivery order to loose the reference to the PDO is not foreseen in EWM. There are automatic posting chagnes in the inbond process when the stock reaches its final destination and there is a dependency between stock category and the storage type. But nothing like the thing you are asking for.

Katrin
