SAP PP strategy 10,11,20 and 40 difference with example.

Dear all,

i want to understand strategy 10,11,20 and 40 with output results.

like if we have

PIR- 100

Stock- 25

Sales order- 40

Then what will be the result of these different strategy.

Hi Arpit,

Raja has given example for "Make To Stock S"trategy -11". We can observed that MRP has considered only Independent Requirements though there is CustOrder = 40 EA and Stock of 25 EA, Planned Order is generated for the PIR Qty of 100 EA.

Similarly for Make To Order Strategy =20, MRP will not consider the existing Stock and Planned Independent Requiremnt,MRP Considers only the Customer Order. In the above example if the Strategy is 20 then after MRP Planned Order will be 40EA with respect to CusOrd=40EA.

Hi Arpit,

Planning Strategy 11 is a Make To Stock Strategy called as Gross Requiremnts Planning.In this strategy Sales orders does not have any impact only Planned Independent Requiremnts are considerd.

Planning Strategy 20 is Make To Order Strategy where the Planning is done based on Sales Orders.
