FatturaPA / eDocument Italy: Custom Domain for Single CPI tenant

Hello,

I want to know if we have a single CPI tenant, can we still use custom domains for test and prod sites? I understand that both test/prod cannot be active at the same time and that we have to deploy everything in test mode first, verify, then delete and redeploy in Prod mode.

However I want to know for this process if I can still use a custom domain for test site - say https://test.sdi.mycompany.com, perform the test configuration, then when ready to switch to Prod, switch the url to https://prod.sdi.mycompany.com? Do you see any issues with this?

I also read that with a single tenant, we don't necessarily have to use an external domain but use the same standard ssl host xxxxx-ssl.ondemand.com to register for both test/prod urls, then deploy test mode, verify and then delete and redeploy prod modes.

I am trying to understand which would be a better option - custom domain or standard SAP ssl host? The reason being we plan to get another CPI tenant in the future to be used as test.
