Remove SS Alpha Conversion in BW Datasource

Hi Experts,

We are in BW 7.4. We have a datasource (ECC as source system) with cost center field KOSTL from cost center master table CSKS in ecc. Since this field has ALPHA conversion enabled in ECC as per the assigned domain, the BW datasource showing this field as ALPHA under the column 'SS Conv.Routine'(under Fields tab).

Because of this, if the cost center value is 12345 in ECC, we receive it in BW-PSA as 0000012345 which we don't want for another reason. Is there a way we can remove this ALPHA under 'SS Conv.Routine' so that PSA receives the value as in ECC display format ie. 12345 instead of the internal format ie. 0000012345(length of KOSTL in ECC is 10).

I know that this can be handled by having ALPHA in the infoobject level. But the scenario is little different here, my final cost center infoobject will be updated after concatenating the controlling area. So if the controlling area is AB01, my cost center infoobject will be updated as 0000012345_AB01 which will have no effect for ALPHA and hence report will show as 0000012345_AB01 but i need as 12345_AB01. The option of handling this concatenation in abap transformation is ruled out here because it is SPM dataflow and there is no transformation between Datasource and Infoobject and the API is taking care of this concatenation in the backend which will be very difficult to edit/modify.

So the only solution that would work here is that we need to receive the cost center value in PSA in external format only - How can we do that here ?

Consider removing or blanking out the ALPHA conversion in the DataSource.
