Update CR XI r2 to CR 2008

I value the opportunity to update the CR XI r2 to CR 2008,

I have installed the product evaluation and solves some doubts.

Currently, I work with CR XI r2 and RDC with ODBC connection

- May no longer work as before with CR 2008 in the following way:?

- Working with the Progress database

- Design reports with the ODBC connection without saving data

- From the application call the OCX, by the report, I pass parameters to query and update data and visualize

The question is, How can you do something as similar as possible with CR 2008?

Calling the report, pass parameters and the query, and view it without. NET and JAVA

Another question,

The runtime, what has to be installed on the client, a module? Where to get?
