Communication over HTTP. Unable to create a socket - Receiver Proxy channel in SAP PI

Hi Experts,

We are working on SAP PO 7.5 & after creating Proxy receiver channel we are getting error as below:

Both ECC & PI are in same landscape, earlier older PI 7.3 is used to connect to ECC using same config.

Hi Ramu!

First, ensure that your ECC system is accessible from PI side both by IP-address and DNS name. Ask your BASIS team to check that.

I had the same issue and got it resolved by correcting the port number from 8080 to 8000 in the connection URL in the Communication Channel.

eg. http://<XXXXXX>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry

Hi Ramu,

As Evgeniy has suggested, check with your BASIS team. Connection should be open and your ECC should allow the ping test from SAP PO.
