Vehicle type equipment created By mistake

Hi experts,

We are facing a problem regarding changing equipment master data view.

Actually bymistake end user have created some vehicle type equipment instead of creating general equipment with categories M.

And when we are viewing those equipment master data instead of object type in GENERAL TAB it is showing the vehicle type.

Can you suggest how we can change the master data view profile for only these perticular equipments so that view can get object type field and maintain the relavant data.

Hi,

You can change equipment category, but in both the equipment categories the parameters maintaind should be same.

PartnDet.Proc.

Object info

View Profile

Then you can achive this. For changing category the path is Go to IE02 give your equipment no, then in main menu Go to->Change category and select required category.

Hi experts,

Hi have rechanged equipment categories of the equipment but i am not getting the change in tabs as i have seeing in the M Categories equiupments.Vies profile is still showing of vehicle type of equipment, Vehicle technology TAB etc.

End users created this vehicle type through IE31 t-code, where they have selected the vehicle type.

Hi Amit,

If its only a few Equipments, you can create new master data records and delete the incorrect ones.

For category change through IE02, the changes will take effect only if the parameters like profile etc are same as the existing category.
