profit center locking in planning

Scenario:

User is left to select profitcenter or hierarchy node in the variable screen.Whenever he selects node it displays profit centers under the node and key figures are input ready for all the profit centers.say 4 profit centers are input ready now.Even though the user plans data for one profit center it locks the remaining 3 profit centers also.

Is ther a way to lock only the profit cneter for which the planning is done?
