Account determination in Asset class

Hi

I have created a new asset class by copying an existing asset class. I changed the Account determination in the new class but kept the screen layout rule and number range the same as the existing asset class. When I tried to create an asset using the new asset class, the account determination being displayed from the asset class that was used to copy the new asset class. Can someone please help me with this issue?

Hi,

Please check OAOA setting for the newly created asset class. May be the change in Account determination was not saved. IF so plase rectify the Account determination and save the asset class.

Hi Everyone

Thanks for the timely and really helpful replies. This issue got resolved. The account determination in OAOA was correct but when we go to Check Asset classes under IMG, I needed to update the new account determination for the new asset class.

With the transaction OAOA you assign the account determination to the asset class

does the new account determination contain different account assignments? Check T-Code AO90 to ensure that.
