Using XIR3, Is there any way in CMC settings to hide the parent folder and be able to see the child folder in Infoview?
No. You need at least view access to a folder in order to be able to see the subfolders. Unless you direct the subfolder to be the initial folder in the Infoview preferences for a given user.
What exactly is your use-case?

Thanks for your answer.
I have Executive Sales Folder on the top (parent) and Sales Support Folder and Sales Staff Folder as child folders. The Executive Sales group can view everything belong to Sales Support Folder and Sales Staff Folder. However the Sales Support and Sales Staff group cannot see the Executive Sales Folder. I don't want to have all the folders at the same level because this hierarchy is needed to be viewed by the Executive Sales group.
How do you direct the subfolder to be the initial folder in the Infoview preferences for a given group?
Thanks,
sherry

Hi,
sorry the idea with the initial folder will not work. I have just checked it. I would recommend to create all folders at the same level. Then you can link the reports (shortcuts) from the Sales Staff and the Sales Support folders into the subfolders which you created within the Executive Group folder using the same names.
