Shelf life expire date

Hi Experts,

Suppose we need to express shelf life in Months. If I set the shelf life to 9 month in material master, and period indicator as Month,

how it calculate. Is it calculate by adding 270 days. Or exactly 9 month using the convertion of month=273.75 days.
