Project code posting in all Journal Enteries

Dear Experts,

I have put the store procedure mandetory for project code. But this way the generated JV can update with project code only when the GL are related to Revenue & Expenditure category.

I want the project code should be update for all GL (Asset & Liability) & BP in the JV.

Please suggest query to update the all accounts in JV.

Hi,

Project codes can be attached to business partners, G/L accounts, journal entries and marketing documents.

Business Partners:

Business Partners -> Business Partner Master Data -> Tab General

The project code defined here will be automatically applied to the 'Project' field in the accounting tab of all marketing documents for this business partner.

G/L Accounts:

Financials -> Chart of Accounts -> Account Details

A project can be defined here and will appear on row level in every manual journal entry.

Journal entries:

A project code can be assigned on the header level or the row level. This information is completely editable. A project code applied at the header level updates all rows in the journal entry with this project code. A project code entered in the field in the 'Expand Editing Mode' applies it to the highlighted row only. Project codes assigned to the row apply only to that row, naturally.

Marketing Document:

1. Header level: The project code is chosen on the accounting tab of the marketing document and is hence applicable to the business partner. If the marketing document generates a journal entry, the project code will be shown in the row of the business partner and in the expanded editing mode part of the header information of that journal entry when that row is highlighted.

2. Row level: Different rows in marketing documents can have different project codes. If a journal entry is generated from the marketing document, the project code information is stored in the rows of the journal entry. There will be a project code applied to all rows in the journal entry except the ones relating to tax.

The only way (to update all account in Journal Entry) is assigned Project Code on the Header level. So you may use SDK to achieve your goal.

Hi!

What do you refering to Project or Profit Center. Project can be updated in all draws, only Profit Center can't it will update only for P & L Acc's.
