SAP BPC to External Datamart (With no OpenHub)

Dear Experts,

I'm interested in transfer data from BPC (BI Cube) to an external Datamart with Oracle. Can anyone tell me which is the best option to do this? Idea is to put an event from BPC to launch some kind of process to pass the data from BPC to Datamart.

Problem is we don't have OpenHub license and we can't use it.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks bbcons for the reply,

But I think that you can export tables in excel, ascii or mdb format with BPC, and then transfer the data with PL/SQL isn't it the best way?

Thanks,

Dear Roger !

No, I don't think that this is the best way. Using open hub service is the officially supported way by SAP. In my opionion an excel extract or a database access is a "quick and dirty" solution. You can do it once, or for a sample, but I wouldn't advise this solution for a regular job.

Cheers, Ralf

The open hub license is not a license to use open hub but to utilise the netweaver BW back end as a staging engine to distribute data to further applications

You can use the technical open hub function to do this or you use a oracle dump or a cube dump - you still need the license

I would suggest you talk to your SAP account manager about the costs and whether you have to pay for your suggested extract (some small extracts they dont bother with the cost)

1) Is it possible to save your data into a DSO ? This DSO can be used inside oracle to export data to your external datamart.

2) Write a BEx query and save your data as excel file. Load this data into your external datamart.
