MM Period Closing

Dear expert,

What is the difference between MM period closing and FI period closing?

What are those transactions block for posting when period closed for MM and for FI?

What need to be take note when close period for MM and for FI?

Possibility of re-open closed period for MM and for FI? What are the related transaction codes?

Hi

MM period closing is done to post Material document while Fi period closing is done to close the FI related documents

The tcode to use in closing MM period is MMPV while through MMRV you can view which periods are open.if the period is not open then by MMPV transaction code you can open the period.

Now by OB52 transaction code you can open the FI period closing.

Will internal order settlement being affected by MM period closing?

If the particular periods are not open , then your posting will not happen.can you tell me what is the error you are getting.

Dear Nisha,

I had settle the internal order. Close the MM period.

However, I would like to do adjustment by reverse invoice.

Later, when I do settlement, it is showing message negative value not allowed for settlement posting.

This is due to system config that not allow negative value posting for AUC. (align with company policy)

Can you suggest on the solutions for this?
