Hi All,

Finally the installation is done successfully. I followed the below steps..but not sure which actually helped

1. Uninstall the MaxDB instance

2. Uninstall the central SAP instance

3.Clean registry using registry cleanup tool

4.Remove the installation directory

5.Updated following Environment variables given below:

SAPLOCALHOST=Myname

SAPSYSTEMNAME=NSP

DBMS_TYPE=sap

PATH=%path%;C:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386;

MSSQL_SERVER=Myname

MSSQL_DBNAME=NSP

MSSQL_SCHEMA=SAPNSP

6. Disabled firewall as well as antivirus before installation.

7. Uninstalled one Data card software (Huawei Mobile Connect) used for connecting to Internet.

Thanks for all your help.

Yes Peter. I am pretty sure about that. I disabled Symantec Firewall as well as Symantec Antivirus (installed in my m/c) before installation and my Windows Firewall/Internet Communication Sharing(ICS) service is also disabled in my PC. Please suggest.

I am pasting my DEFAULT.PFL file content below for you to check:

Hi Arindam,

Have you done the prerequisite for installation.

You need to restart your desktop then try.

Thanks

Do you have antivirus or firewall running? Try to turn it off and retry...

Hi Peter,

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I have Symantec Client firewall and I have already tried the installation with disabled firewall but no help. Found one log file 'stopsap.log' which says:

SAPSRVKILL failed on Myname_NSP_00: -2147221164

Cannot connect to DCOM Interface of Start Service: -2147221164

C:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386\sapntwaitforhalt.exe=>sapparam(1c): No Profile used.

running C:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386\sapsrvkill.exe Myname_NSP_00

running C:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386\sapntwaitforhalt.exe name=NSP nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=Myname 3600

As my PC is not connected to any network, so I have installed Microsoft Loopback Adapter already with a static IP 198.162.0.10

Added entry in hosts file 198.162.0.10 Myname

the services file also have entries (not made by me) probably made by the installer itself

sapmsNSP 3600

Please revert if you need further info.

Hi Arindam,

As per log file, I think NSP server profile not used or NSP.. .pfl file is not present in the profile folder. Please search the .pfl file in your server directory naming like NSP_*... and then put in the 'profile' folder under /usr/NSP/...

Then check it.

Thanks

Are you sure you don't have any other firewall (default windows) and also antivirus sw active in system?
