Optimizer and Rules for Demand Prioritization (IBP R&S/order-based)

Hello Experts,

What is the effect of Rules for Demand Prioritization in the execution of the planning operator Constrained Forecast Run Using Optimizer? For the Constrained Forecast Run operator, this is clear according to the Help documentation, however for the Optimizer how is this related to the different cost-rates?

Hi Dagoberto,

the rules are required as parameter to derive the demand penalty cost.

The Optimizer itself is not considering the demand priorities, but the cost figures mentioned in the help link you posted, just one chapter deeper
