Reg conversion agent in sap PI/XI

Hi All,

1. I am having a requirement whwre we need to conert XML file PDf and sime times PDF to XML. From my collegue i got some information about conversion agent. From where we will get this agent and is this is free version or do we need to take licenced version ofr using it my project.

2. can any body provide me the detailed information about conversion agent and how to Install in our system How to use the conversion agent for converting XML to PDF and vice versa.( Please privide me any screen shots are there)

You can get this from the service market place. No this is not a free ware and you need to buy it.

Did you tried searching sdn, you may not be finding the exact blog/wiki document as per your scenario. But you could have got a first look at the conversion agent

But why are you going for conversion agent? Can't you write a module which will convert pdf to xml? Try to look for some java code for doing this in google.

If dont mind can you explain me clearly. You mean to say writing a module and keep in the communication channel is it write. Can you explain me eloborately.

Yes, exactly this is what i meant.

But I am not able to provide you with the code sample as I have not done one.. But if you search a java forum you might get little more help on code samples...

PS: If you pdf is complex and it is not simple to make XML out of it then I will advise to use Conversion Agent
