cannot release transport request

I want to copy transport request files from a to be dismantled SAP system to another SAP system and then add into STMS queue.

It's an SAP ECC 6.0 / SAP_BASIS 700 18 / MSSQL 9.00.3054 / Unicode / Windows server 2003 x64.

When releasing the transport request to a virtuel system this ends with return code 0232.

In the transport tool check the tp call give the message:

- DB connect: Link to database failed

- Offline call: connect failed

R3trans -x (version 6.14 release 700 - 12.06.09) on the server with <SID>adm ends "with2EETW169 no connect possible..." and "R3trans finished <0012>".

Expected cause is an issue in environment variable or profile parameter, but these seem to be correct.

In the windows registry, DEFAULT.PFL and environment variables is parameter "DBMS_TYPE = mss".

Do you have any suggestions ?

    Hi ,

Please check using the command R3trans -d on command prompt and see if you are able to connect to the database.

If not then check the log file Trans.log created in the same directory from which this command is run to find out the cause of the problem.

    Thanks

    Amit

      Hi ,

Ok ,Now you have set the envrionment variable to 1.Did you also check the SAP note 1082356 .

Previously SAP was not able to connect to database ,now you are able to connect.Check your TP connection to database now,if its working, then you should be able to release the transport.

Check from STMS transaction or use the following command.

      tp connect <SID> pf='/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL'

      Thanks

      Amit
