safety stock

We are facing an issue the scenario is as below

maintained safety stock say 100

and we are producing in house and procuring from other plant of samematerial ,now the issue is coming when we are doing PGI for 50 Ea. system is not allowing even though stock is showing 100 system giving error stock is not sufficient when we remove safety stock from MRP 2 then system is aloowing to carry out PGI .

What is relation between MRP and sale Vview,we had maintanined the safety stock for planning purpose but still system throwing error when we do sale process.What would be the reason

Hi

Safety stock is for your extra consumption. MRP first replinishes the safety stock first then the other requirement. Normally for finished product safety stock will not be used. You can do one thing Goto t.code OMI1 and give 100% for shring safety stock for requirement in planning for your plant. It will work.
