Authorization for field wise in material master

Dear Gurus

Please suggest me is ther any wayt to controll filedwise authorization in Material Master.

For example if one user has authorization to change the MRP views, i dont want give the same authorization for another user who has a material creation authorization for Purchasing text view.

Hi Kadali,

You can assign authorization object M_MATE_STA (Material Master: Maintenance Statuses) to users who are going to have only necessary field authorization. For example if you want a user only to have MRP view authorization then in M_MATE_STA assign just D to that user master record. Talk to your basis guy. Besides you can run SU24 to see what M_MATE_STA object can get which values.
