Good day,
We are trying to sort the dimensions in the Navigation Panel alphabetically. Using the Value_Help_Setting, I'm able to sort the dimensions, only when there is a data source assigned to the Lumira Designer application.
We are adding a data source at run time only, in a query. Is there any way to use the Value_Help_Setting this way? Or do anybody know of any other way to sort the dimensions?
We are using Lumira Designer 2.2 with Bex queries as a source.
Thank you,
Haidee Olivier.
Wow thank you so much reiner.hille-doering
I'll definitely give it a try.

It should be easy: Value Help Settings works string-based. If you have a dimension with a certain name - regardless if it is available at design time or not, the setting is used.
The trick is to how you configure Value Help Settings if you load the data source(s) dynamically. As you don't have the data source at design time, you can't use the "Select..." button. Instead use "Insert" button and set the dimension name by hand.

Thanks for a quick reply.
I understand, we're using the navigation panel withing Generic Analysis template and assigning the Data Source at runtime 😞

Hi Haidee,
Were you able to solve this? We're in the same boat... 😞

Hi Vinod,
No unfortunately there are just too many issues with assigning a datasource dynamically, that we've changed our entire approach and recreated all the documents/reports, each with a datasource assigned to it. Then adding the Value Help Setting component, you are able to sort the dimensions. It cannot sort measures though.
