    Hi,

A set of values can be assigned to the varient, and subsequently that varient can be assigned to other objects.

This rule is valid accross all SAP modules.

Note: always post your questions with the actual scenario.

    Thanks,

    Srinu

    Hi

Variants are defined at Client level and are of various types --

Fiscal Year Variant, Screen Variant, Report Variant, Posting Period Variant, etc.

Most of them are system defined and new ones can be configured too. These are assigned to specific Company codes.
