EC to SAP HCM integration for several position

Hello all,

I'm facing an issue regarding data alignment between EC and SAP HCM:

• With SAP HCM it’s possible to assign an employee to several positions in OM by using “additional assignment” à The employee keep the same PERNR for the both assignments
• With SF EC it’s possible to assign an employee to several positions only by using concurrent employment à But in this case the employees has 2 User ID/Employment

For this last business case, the replication process from EC to SAP HCM using middleware CPI and BiB integration, the replication will create two personal numbers in SAP HCM (one for each position).

It doesn’t match with the requirement to have only one personal number with two positions in OM…

Is there a workaround to apply the replication rule : Employee with two positions in EC (concurrent employment) replicated with one personal number in SAP HCM with two positions within OM ?

Hello David,

I have the same requirement with you. Customer would like to open concurrent employment in SF, but not enable concurrent on HCM side. In HCM, one entity, some employees have multiple positions, but only with on person ID. Did your find the way to realize?
