Hi,

I have a maintenance plan attached to 3 maintenance items (1,2 and 3). my client wants to postpone one of the maintenance orders called by maintenance item 3, without disrupting the schedule of maintenance items 1 and 2. can this be done? thanks gurus!

Hans,

I think this functionality is not available in Std.

Hans,

Since the scheduling parameters are maintained at the MP header level, You will not be able to postpone one of the Orders created through item without affecting the other orders through the plan.

You could adjust the dates on the created order manually to move the dates out(Make sure to adjust your buffers at the plan level, so that the subsequent orders to be generated by the plan are not affected by this shift of date for this particular Order). If this order is not required for this cycle, you could temporarily cancel this assignment of Maintenance item to the plan and then re-assign this item after generation of the order. You could investigate the available user exits for the application but i don't think it would be a worthwhile alternative to this one of scenario.

Straight out, my user would find that tedious.

I have presented the option of manually altering the order produced by the item, but this is currently unacceptable to the process owner.

We'll just set business policies regarding this scenario. Thanks for the help guys!
