Problem during archiving of QMEL

Right now I am trying to archive through QM_QMEL and after providing input in the varint from the table QMEL (like notification number, type and Plant_for_material). But the Preprocesser results are as belows----

hi,

i had a similar problem for archiving using QM_QMEL, the solution is the notification needs to set for Deletion using Deletion FLAg in Notification > Function > Deletion Flag > Set

the reason for this is, when you are using SARA for archiving QM_QMEL object, in the background RQARCQMV ABAP report is triggered, which checks for notification which have deletion flag set and proceed accordingly.

Hi Ajay,

I am trying to get some info from WORKFLOW persons but he has less idea here....

If you have done this before then can you tell me what should be the status for the notification that can be archived

For Example :- Sales Order can only be archived if the staus is closed, if its is some other status it cannot be archived.

Hi Surojit,

Before doing the QM_CONTROL customizing , you have to define a selection profile. I think you already have done that.

THe path in SPRO is Quality Management -> Quality Inspection -> Status Management -> Define Selection Profile.

The reason why I am mentioning this is that perhaps you are not able get any eligible data when archiving of inspection lots using QM_CONTROL , because of the fact that you have not defined any selection conditions. This is over and above setting of retention dates in SARA -> QM_CONTROL -> Object customizing

In the selection profile customizing , you can define criteria such as "Usage Decision Made" or LTCA status etc.

Before you do this , you can also cross check which documents are eligible for archiving in inspection lots by going to transaction QA03 , and going to extended selection. There you can give criteria such as UD or LTCA to find whether you will really be able to archive Insp. Lots.

This is not a direct solution to the problem , but possibly if you clear up the Inspection lots , you can proceed to the quality notifications , especially if there are open notifications waiting for LTCA status on Inspection lots.

Hello,

QM_QMEL archiving object can be used for archiving Qualitiy Notification records, if these documents are completed and assigned with deletion flag and met residence period mentioned.

Network graphic with Red colour means that there is no archiving activity happened to this archiving object. This will also give last archive date of the perticular archiving object.

Kindly check your selection of quality notification for completion and then run Preprocessing job to set deletion flag, later will be archived.

Hi Surojit,

It may be possible that you have not completed the customizing for QM_CONTROL.

Can you show screenshots of your selection profile conditions and the customizing screenshot for object QM_CONTROL ?

Though QM_QMEL shows up as a successor to QM_CONTROL , its not necessary that you should archive inspection lots before archiving quality notifications.

Please share the screenshots as I have mentioned above so I can help you further.

But what customization setting you want me to check because there are lots of them ...

Is there any specific customizing setting for QM_CONTROL ?

I cannot share all but I can go for specific screens.
