Maxruntime in process chains

Hello,

we are scheduling some BW process chains daily and inserted a maximum runtime of 23 hours.

Unfortunately the BW process chain won't be killed after this time. The operator message will be written but the BW process chain stays in status "Waiting" and the child job in status "Running".

What can we do, that the BW process chain will be killed after 23 hours, so that it will be rescheduled for the next day.

Hello Dana,

BPA will send the kill request to SAP, if SAP does not do anything with it, there is little BPA can do to improve the situation. Alternative is to set the status to Unknown, this will then give no guarantee that the chain in BW is really aborted.

So please investigate also on the BW side what happens when the kill signal is send.
