i make new field in ci_prps called KTEXT (description of profit center), when i run sap standard alv i want to see the description of prctr (from cpect-ktext).
Field labeles at the data elemtn level are pulled by alv to display as text, if they do not exist or u want ot override them then u can do by metioning ur text in the fieldcatalogue parameter seltext_l , seltext_m or seltext_s.
