/virsa/ZVFATBAK background job

Hello,

SAP 4.6c.

/virsa/ZVFATBAK is running currently in the system at specific periods.

Should this job be running on each application server of the system?

Or just a one time schedule in SM36 for the entire system is good.

Kindly advise.

Thanks.

Prasanna,

If you have super users logging into your application servers, then yes, you will have to schedule the job there. If you don't, then you are good.

Make sense?

Thanks!

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

Recently, the frequency of the job was switched from hourly to once every 4 hours.

The firefighter logs are not getting generated.

I dont see anyother changes that have been made.

1039144-Is this note the solution?

thanks.

Hi

Also make sure that variant you using to run the job /VIRSA/ZVFATBAK has 4 hours in "Read time" field if you want to make the frequency of job to run every four hours

All,

The job was previously running every 1 hr.

Problems started when the frequency was changed to 4 hours and the log report was not getting generated.

Performed the following:

Rescheduled the job every 1 hr on every app.server.

Thanks for the support.
