ECM - Additional Info Link on Planning Screen

In Enterprise Comp Mgmt, the planning iView has a link for additional info. It's configured in the hompage framework for ESS. The service is MSS_HCM_ECM_ADDLINK_SAMPLE and the resource is MSS_HCM_SERV_ECM_ADDLINK_SAMPLE. I have the parameter set in the iView. Also, I have the service configured to 'Direct URL launched in a separate window' and the quick link checkbox is checked. I want the link to open a new window to a location on the intranet...just a website address. What am I missing? The link does not do anything when I click on it.

Hi,

By default the service MSS_HCM_SERV_ECM_ADDLINK_SAMPLE is defined as WEBDYNPRO, so set this service as std.

Also, you can select the PORTALPAGE type, because you're calling a page located in your Portal Content.

The link will open anyway in a new window due to "_blank" entry in Window Name property of the resource assigned.

I changed the settings according to your instructions. The problem now is that the website opens inside the portal framework. I don't want to see the portal tabs and other stuff surrounding the website page.

Do you know if the link can launch an external URL without the portal framework?
