can't update a web template

Hello everyone,

After creating a web template, I tried to modify it to include more items. I can save the new version (with some Java communication error). However, the new items won't show up in the new version of the template when displayed in a browser. Any help will be greately appreciated.

Check if the template has the new elements - use program rs_template_maintain_70 to check the layout. If the layout is changed in this view then clear the cache in SMICM and then execute the template.

    • RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70 shows that the template has been changed. By the way, I can also verify the template change from the XHTML view in Web Application Designer. I then go to ICM monitor but am not sure how to clear the cache. Please advise.

Also, is there a setting in Portal that we can set so that we don't need to manually clear the cache every time we make a change to a template? Thanks again.
